University of Minnesota

University of Minnesota

We are thrilled to be one of six consultants selected for a University-wide Drupal contract at the University of Minnesota. We're already engaged in several initiatives, small to large. One of our first projects is an assessment engine tool for a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC). We expect total usage of the tool to be greater than 50,000 students across the world. Another project will track and display technology adoption progress at the University using a technically complex and highly social Drupal back-end implementation paired (via a REST API) with a front-end visualization -- see the site in action at http://hypecycle.umn.edu. In addition, we are developing web sites for various departments across the University.

Thus far we've provided deep technical knowledge-sharing and general Drupal consulting, wireframing and visual prototyping, user experience (UX) and interaction design (IxD), graphic design, Drupal development, Drupal-side and server-side caching/performance/scalability implementation and recommendations, server and hosting architecture recommendations, and our talented, friendly team. So far everyone seems really happy; we aim to keep it that way!

Anyone interested in our work thus far, please reach out to us so that we can connect you to references at the UMN, if applicable, or fill you in more on what we're up to and what we're capable of.

The Group Learning Experience For Drupalers

The Group Learning Experience For Drupalers

Day one of the Twin Cities Drupal Camp 2014 2014.tcdrupal.org started with a wide choice of training sessions aimed at all levels of Drupal knowledge and experience. These training sessions were provided free, and are a great example of the ethos of sharing knowledge that has been a mainstay of the Drupal community. It's fabulous to be here and to be learning at the pace that suits us best as individuals. Also, very happy to see, not only other Drupal professionals, newbies, and the inquisitive, but client colleagues from The University of Minnesota amongst others. We are all sailing on the same ship, and I am struck how valuable structured learning can be to our shared journeys.
